ProtectWell COVID-19 screening program

Maddock & Associates has been working hard to keep you updated on the latest information about COVID-19.

I have attached a great document that outlines very useful information and resources to help you in dealing with COVID-19 at your workplace.

Most employers are creating policies to advise employees to not come to work if they are having any flu related symptoms or if they have been in contact with someone who is suspected (or confirmed) of having COVID-19.  


For employers wanting to go one step further and roll out daily COVID-19 health self screening/attestations, we have good news!  One of our insurance carrier partners, United HealthCare, has partnered with Microsoft to provide an employer workforce COVID-19 screening program called ProtectWell.  This service is being made available to employers at no charge for 2020 and 2021.  This service is available regardless of your insurance provider, you do not need to be a UHC member.

The ProtectWell system is robust, but it requires a pretty high level of familiarity with smart phone apps and on-line systems to get set up and working for your company.  We, at Maddock & Associates, are currently using this system for our own team, but we do not have access to the system to troubleshoot for our clients.  Our ability to help with set up and issues is limited.  Due to the high level of demand and the fact that this is a free service, ProtectWell is offering this as a self-service program. They have excellent tutorial resources, but very limited live customer service availability.

This service is designed for smart phones, Android or Apple.  In January, they will be rolling out a web version that does not require a smart phone to use.

To get started with ProtectWell, go to https://weprotectwell.com and click the “Contact Us” link.  You will need to give ProtectWell your information and they will send you an email with links to sign off on their user agreements and links to participate in webinars for training.

About 1 day after you submit the contact us info, you will receive an email to sign the Docusign for the agreements.  Make sure to sign both 2020 and 2021 agreements.

1-2 days after you sign the agreements, you will receive an email to get started with implementing the system for your company.
