Account Manager

Position Summary

We have an immediate opening for an Account Manager. We are looking for someone who is flexible, motivated, and has a good attitude with an excellent attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office, and have some experience with Salesforce and employee benefits. College degree is strongly preferred.

Job Duties

  • Answers questions regarding policy coverage information (ex: Rx benefit, covered procedures, plan provisions, plan limitations, etc.).
  • Acts as a liaison with insurance carriers and providers (hospitals, doctors, dentists, labs) to resolve claims issues and aid with the appeals process.
  • Assists with ID card requests, processes address changes, and helps with network searches.
  • Processes enrollments, terminations, and changes for select clients.
  • Helps add new HR personnel to the carrier online portals.
  • Answers general questions that come in daily including, but not limited to: coordination of benefits, covered benefits, eligibility, merger & acquisitions, and compliance.
  • Answers a high volume of calls and emails, and maintains a response rate according to our standards.
  • Helps complete compliance forms and notifications.
  • Answers billing questions regarding enrollment changes.
  • Helps clients with bill discrepancies and bill audits.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent computer skills - an expert in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and is able to learn new systems and programs with ease. Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Strong communication skills - verbal and written; on the phone and in person.
  • The ability to multitask - handles many simultaneous projects efficiently and effectively. Operates in a fast paced, energetic environment.

The ideal candidate must:

  • Hold an active WA Life & Disability license or be willing and able to get licensed shortly after being hired.
  • Be able to work over 8 hours a day during busy season (October - February) as needed.
